The WAVE Arrives at Zurich and We're there to See it Arrive

Mark Chatterley, Zero Carbon World's Communication Manager, headed out to Zurich to see the WAVE 2013 rally end its 1800km (~1200 mile) trip. This is his report of the event.

'Zurich is an amazing city and prepared me perfectly for when I met up with the WAVE 2013. In Zurich most forms of public transport are electrified. Be it commuter trains, local trains, trams or buses, they are all being powered by overhead electrical cables. Brilliant.'

WAVE goodbye to petrol

After a 1000-mile drive from the UK to Vienna in an electric car, Kevin Sharpe Founder of Zero Carbon World and Patron of the Charity, joins 40 other electric vehicles for the annual World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE) across Europe.

In 2008 Louis Palmer became the first man ever to drive a solar powered vehicle around the world. With the simple message that electric cars and renewable energies are a clean and reliable solution for our future, WAVE was born.
